Blog Tips
Some things you will want to be aware of as you manage and work with your blog:
Make sure to visit your Dashboard, then click on your settings options near the bottom of the left sidebar. Explore the options available to you in this space.
Time Zone
In your settings you’ll want to change your time zone to “-8″ to reflect the Pacific Time Zone. Time zone changes need to be checked at daylight savings as well.
Theme
You’ll notice there is only one theme in use. This is to keep everything uniform. I would advise against editing the custom header and stick with only how you wish to name your blog and the tag you wish to place under your blog’s Title.
Media
You are able to upload pictures, music and video, however you only have a 10mb limit, so you may wish to link to videos instead.
Comments
In your settings, you can have users comment who have not logged in, or those who have. For security sake and to reduce spammers, I strongly suggest that you limit comments to registered users and encourage those who wish to comment, to sign up to do so. Users cannot create blogs, that is the webmaster’s job. Anti-spam code is in place to prevent comment spam as much as possible, but insisting on commenters registering first will further reduce the chances of spam entering your blog.
Keep checking this page, as things come to mind and as bloggers as questions, this list will grow.
